ASU News: A fresh look at Hugh Downs

Blog: From Environmentalism to Reproductive Rights, A History of Hugh Downs’ Forward-Thinking Discussions

Join television legend and Emmy Award winner Hugh Downs and Origins Project director Lawrence Krauss for An Origins Project Dialogue, Seventy Years of Life on TV: Politics, Religion, Sex and Science.

This dialogue on taboos in journalism and society at large will feature the former Today Show host discussing his more than 70 years of influence in media, the changing landscape of public knowledge, and the few taboos that remain in modern journalism. Watch Krauss as he and Downs, a long-time science communicator, touch on scientific topics that were once forbidden, as well as particularly taboo areas of research that could impact humanity for generations to come.
